A few months ago, David Muñoz contacted Lord Drake Kustoms in Málaga to share his idea for transforming a Harley-Davidson Softail Deuce he had just acquired. Coincidentally, this project came about at the same time as the launch of David’s new fashion and accessories brand, called “Trending Topic.”
After meeting with Fran Manen, owner of LDK, they both agreed that this bike had to be something different from the usual Softail Deuce builds—especially since it would be used as a corporate image for the launch of the new clothing brand.

The challenge excited Fran, both for the possibilities it offered and because the Softail Deuce is his favorite Harley—it was the first one he ever owned and the bike that started his journey into customization. Since that very first unit, he had never worked on another Deuce.
The owner of Trending Topic made it clear that he wanted the bike to feature a Peanut-style gas tank, to keep the original lenticular wheel (a hallmark of the Deuce models), and to display his brand’s logo—the hashtag.
The project
From there, Fran began working on the project, and after several tests, it was decided that the bike should wear a black suit, with the exception of the gas tank, which would be white — the usual color of shirts that accompany this type of suit… a meaningful detail and a good reference to the accessories brand it was going to represent.
It began with modifying and adapting a “Peanut”-type fuel tank. The ignition and the switch were replaced, and the handlebar was swapped for a flat one to give the bike more width. Next, the rear part of the frame was modified. A bobber-style rear fender with an integrated LED taillight was fabricated. Additionally, a sprung floating seat was added, featuring the “Trending Topic” brand embedded in the rear section.
In addition to many other details such as the front tire, the digital speedometer, etc… Three elements were added that broke away from the typical bobber look the bike had been taking on up to that point: a front fairing, a belly pan, and a front grille. To give it an elegant and dark touch, smoked turn signals integrated into the grips were chosen, along with mini-sized ones for the rear.
The result: a motorcycle that, just like the accessories and clothing of the brand it represents, makes —and will continue to make— quite a stir. Becoming the “trending topic” of any event it attends…
