This BMW is the latest creation from the WalzWerk workshop, led by the renowned Marcus Walz. Built on the foundation of a BMW R12 nineT, it combines the classic essence of BMW with WalzWerk’s unique details: aesthetics, performance, and a high attention to detail. As always, Marcus’ work leaves no one indifferent and continues to prove why he is one of the best builders in Europe.

The design of the R12 Cafe Racer includes clean and elegant lines, while maintaining the retro look of the 1960s models. Painted in Porsche beige-gray, the tank features a hand-laid pinstripe by “Chikos.”. The black single-seat features visible stitching, adding an artisanal and sporty touch.

Regarding the base, it was too tall for what Walz wanted. What did they do? They dropped the front suspension by 40 mm, rebuilding all internal components from scratch and installing progressive fork springs. The fork tubes were re-anodized in black, giving the front end a more radical appearance. It’s not a huge change, but in the custom world, details matter.
The front subframe was completely redesigned for this bike and is inspired by WalzWerk’s famous BMW series, SCHIZZO®. This allows the airbox and original air panels to be retained without compromising the cafe racer aesthetic. The perfect balance between customization and performance makes the bike even more unique. For those chasing a wilder look, WalzWerk offers an export-only option that removes the airbox entirely. In both versions, the frame is 100% bolt-on, no cutting or welding.

As for the controls, the levers are adjustable, and the fluid reservoirs feature CNC-machined caps with an exclusive design. The rear footpegs are also adjustable, allowing for a precise riding position for sporty handling.
The exhaust, a prototype developed by Jekill & Hyde, was made specifically for this bike and won’t be available for sale for a few years. Additionally, the 1,170 cc boxer engine includes custom-machined covers, enhancing the bike’s robust and premium character.

This bike is the first in a series of BMW R12 Cafe Racer, of which only 12 units will be produced each year, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and a highly personalized experience.

The BMW R12 ‘Cafe Racer’ is not just a reinterpretation of the R12 nineT: it is a bike that takes BMW’s tradition to the next level thanks to Marcus Walz’s vision. A perfect balance of retro design and contemporary technology, with optimized performance and guaranteed exclusivity.
This creation is designed for those seeking far more than a motorcycle: a collectible piece ready to ride, turning every kilometer into a statement of style.
