Slovakia’s Earth Motorcycles has taken the modern classic BMW R12 platform and transformed it into a striking, minimalist masterpiece named the “Cyber Racer.” Known for their incredibly clean and stripped-back aesthetic, the workshop aimed to create a design where every single component feels essential, resulting in a motorcycle with flawless lines and zero visual clutter.
Redefining the Chassis
The most prominent and innovative feature of this build is the complete removal of the stock rear subframe. To achieve a perfectly clean look without traditional crossmembers, Earth Motorcycles collaborated with Valta Engineering to design a brand-new, single L-shaped subframe.
This piece is CNC-milled from high-grade aircraft aluminum and mounts directly to the original factory connection points. This clever structural design hides the bike’s stock wiring harness and essential electronic components seamlessly underneath. Resting on top of this frame is a beautiful, custom-made genuine leather seat crafted by Milita Seats, which perfectly follows the sharp and continuous lines of the new chassis.
Premium Metalwork and Industrial Elegance
The front end of the BMW R12 has been completely redesigned with a rugged, industrial aesthetic. The stock headlight brackets and plastic elements were replaced by a custom CNC-machined aluminum housing that pulls the headlight assembly down tightly for a much lower, more aggressive stance.
The factory fuel tank went through a meticulous modification process. Earth Motorcycles removed the flat factory welds, pressure-tested the unit, and applied an internal treatment before finishing it with a striking, hand-brushed aluminum texture. To pay homage to BMW’s racing heritage, subtle pinstripes featuring the classic M Sport colors were neatly integrated into the design. To match this clean engine profile, the bulky stock airbox was deleted in favor of a pair of high-flow, exposed pod filters.
Premium Components and Handcrafted Exhaust
Earth Motorcycles carefully selected top-tier aftermarket components to upgrade both the stance and handling of the machine:
- Suspension: A brand-new YSS rear shock absorber is paired up front with a custom Rebel Moto triple tree clamp.
- Controls: All switches and lines are routed internally through the handlebars for an ultra-clean cockpit, complemented by sleek Motogadget turn signals.
- Exhaust System: A completely bespoke, handcrafted stainless steel exhaust system coated in heat-resistant matte black finish. It features dual independent silencers capped with precision-machined aircraft-grade aluminum tips, delivering a deep, throaty boxer sound.
