En su momento destac\u00f3 por su moderno motor de cuatro cilindro DOHC y su apariencia deportiva. Esta <strong>Honda CBX750<\/strong> de <strong>Ellaspede<\/strong> merece la pena ser mostrada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seg\u00fan el due\u00f1o<strong> Leo Yip<\/strong>, muchos clientes llegan con las ideas claras en cuanto al dise\u00f1o de sus motos pero otros est\u00e1n m\u00e1s abiertos a los que se les pueda proponer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En este caso, el cliente pidi\u00f3 una moto que Leo quisiera tener y llevar, con la \u00fanica condici\u00f3n es que tuviera dos faros cuadrados como los originales. Y las no tardaron mucho en ir tomando forma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Desde el principio supieron que quer\u00edan inspirarse en contempor\u00e1neos a la CBX de los 80 y nada era m\u00e1s potente que el Ferrari Testarossa. Las l\u00edneas horizontales y superficies redondeadas de la trasera del Testarossa eran imprescindibles, esto se ve reflejado en los pilotos traseros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"992\" height=\"661\" src=\"https:\/\/www.caferacerworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-3.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3243\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.caferacerworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-3.png 992w, https:\/\/www.caferacerworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-3-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/www.caferacerworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-3-768x512.png 768w, https:\/\/www.caferacerworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-3-600x400.png 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 992px) 100vw, 992px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u00abTambi\u00e9n sab\u00edamos que quitar\u00edamos la c\u00fapula y los carenados delanteros, lo que har\u00eda que el dep\u00f3sito pareciera fuera de lugar. Aprovechamos para a\u00f1adir volumen a las l\u00edneas del cuerpo dise\u00f1ando aletas en el dep\u00f3sito que cubrieran los soportes expuestos y sirvieran de base para colocar emblemas <em>mecanizados por CNC<\/em>.\u00bb<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Siguiendo con este efecto de \u201cmusculatura\u201d, dise\u00f1aron colectores dos en uno <em>mecanizados por CNC<\/em> para mostrar un par de filtros de aire grandes y expuestos. Adem\u00e1s, como hab\u00eda que ocultar bastante componente el\u00e9ctrico, incorporaron tapas laterales con profundas cavidades para alojar los <em>filtros K&amp;N<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"512\" src=\"https:\/\/www.caferacerworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3241\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.caferacerworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-2.png 768w, https:\/\/www.caferacerworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-2-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/www.caferacerworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-2-600x400.png 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Otra idea que surgi\u00f3 fue instalar un basculante de <em>CBR1000R<\/em> junto con cubiertas de ruedas custom para darle a la moto un aspecto \u201canime\u201d, pero el concepto nunca termin\u00f3 de convencer. Finalmente, Ellaspede opt\u00f3 por un basculante de <em>Ducati 1198<\/em> y logr\u00f3 que su cliente aceptara a\u00f1adir llantas ligeras de fibra de carbono BST al proyecto. La parte delantera fue completada con una <em>horquilla \u00d6hlins<\/em>, originalmente destinada a una <em>BMW R nineT<\/em>, que consiguieron del stock restante del importador australiano, completando as\u00ed el chasis rodante.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Con el plan de dise\u00f1o tomando forma y la moto equipada con piezas modernas de alto rendimiento, Ellaspede recibi\u00f3 finalmente la CBX750.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"512\" src=\"https:\/\/www.caferacerworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-4.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3245\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.caferacerworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-4.png 768w, https:\/\/www.caferacerworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-4-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/www.caferacerworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-4-600x400.png 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Como no queri\u00e1n montar un motor desgastado en un proyecto de este tipo, especialmente despu\u00e9s de reducir tanto peso con las llantas de carbono. Por eso, retiraron el motor y lo enviaron a <strong>Stuart Firth de Firth Racing<\/strong>, reconocido por su trabajo con motores de alto rendimiento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El trabajo m\u00e1s pesado comenz\u00f3 en la parte trasera, donde Ellaspede cort\u00f3 el subchasis original y dise\u00f1\u00f3 uno nuevo que permiti\u00f3 transformar la moto de un sistema de doble amortiguador a uno monoshock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"512\" src=\"https:\/\/www.caferacerworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-5.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3247\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.caferacerworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-5.png 768w, https:\/\/www.caferacerworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-5-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/www.caferacerworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-5-600x400.png 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La instalaci\u00f3n inicial del tren delantero confirm\u00f3 sus c\u00e1lculos: la nueva horquilla pod\u00eda alterar la geometr\u00eda de la direcci\u00f3n, afectando el \u00e1ngulo de lanzamiento y la trazada. Con problemas de geometr\u00eda en ambos extremos, midieron y modelaron un nuevo cuello de direcci\u00f3n que permitir\u00eda a la CBX750 mantener la postura correcta. Una vez fabricada, cortaron el cuello original y soldaron el reemplazo en el \u00e1ngulo adecuado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El equipo dise\u00f1\u00f3 toda la pieza trasera, incluido el piloto, usando software CAD, antes de imprimir un prototipo en 3D. Tras varios ajustes entre la impresora y la moto, el dise\u00f1o se refin\u00f3 y se envi\u00f3 a un tercero para mecanizar las piezas necesarias en aluminio y policarbonato. Tras varios ensayos, el flujo de aire funcionaba de manera eficiente y los prototipos pudieron enviarse para ser mecanizados en aluminio. Siguiendo el estilo de las Honda de los a\u00f1os 80, se a\u00f1adi\u00f3 un sistema de escape <strong>Yoshimura cuatro en uno<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A continuaci\u00f3n, la moto fue completamente cableada con un conjunto completo de productos <strong>Motogadget<\/strong>, incluyendo la centralita mo.unit, un cuadro digital, botones con LEDs codificados por color, espejos y intermitentes en los extremos del manillar. Para mantener todo lo m\u00e1s limpio posible, el equipo cort\u00f3 una secci\u00f3n en la parte inferior del dep\u00f3sito para alojar la bater\u00eda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"512\" src=\"https:\/\/www.caferacerworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-9.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3255\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.caferacerworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-9.png 768w, https:\/\/www.caferacerworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-9-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/www.caferacerworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-9-600x400.png 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>El \u00faltimo elemento importante en la lista era el faro. El cliente hab\u00eda se\u00f1alado que era su \u00fanico requisito, as\u00ed que Ellaspede se asegur\u00f3 de hacerlo bien. Consideraron conservar los ic\u00f3nicos faros originales, algo que otros proyectos similares hab\u00edan logrado con gran efecto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sin embargo, con todas las piezas modernas a\u00f1adidas, quisieron darle su propio giro al dise\u00f1o, combinando el estilo cl\u00e1sico con los componentes de alto rendimiento. La carcasa del faro personalizado se inspir\u00f3 parcialmente en el <strong>Viewmaster<\/strong>, un juguete anterior a los a\u00f1os 80, pero muy popular en esa d\u00e9cada.
